AQUATIZE® is an EPA-approved and registered sodium chlorite solution proven to dramatically reduce or eliminate salmonella, E-coli and nine other dangerous pathogens in the drinking water of livestock, including poultry. In a variety of studies, it has been shown to be more stable and effective at improving feed conversion, increasing weight gain and survivability than chlorine dioxide. AQUATIZE® is applied at low concentrations to the drinking water of poultry, swine, turkeys, and calves, and is easy to use. If stored in accordance with the EPA label, AQUATIZE retains high levels of activity for two years. AQUATIZE® is formulated for high efficacy, low toxicity and superior biodegradability.

AQUATIZE® has shown outstanding efficacy against these 11 pathogens listed on its EPA-approved label:

Campylobacter jejuni (ATCC 29428)
Escherichia coli (ATCC 11229)
Escherichia coli 015:H7 (ATCC 43895)
Listeria monocytogenes (ATCC 7644)
Pasteurella multocida (ATCC 6530)
Pseudomonas aeruginosa (ATCC 15442) *
Salmonella enteritidis (ATCC 13076) *
Salmonella typhimurium (ATCC 14028)
Shigella sonnei (ATCC 9290)
Streptococcus faecalis (ATCC 19083)
Streptococcus suis (ATCC 43765)

Unlike many animal drinking water disinfectants on the market, AQUATIZE has a vast library of scientific data behind it -- in many cases, the data has been published in peer-reviewed journals and researched by respected organizations in their field.

Calf

Healthier Calves

There is an urgent need for a non-antibiotic agent that is effective against bacteria and viral diarrhea in milk-replaced-fed calves. New resistant strains of bacteria have evolved following repeated exposure to antibiotics prescribed by veterinarians. In accordance with the study referenced below, AQUATIZE® delivered a solution to this problem.

Diarrhea, Feed Conversion and Growth of Milk-Fed Calves

"Addition of Aquatize to the milk replacer and water fed to young Holstein bull calves reduced both the incidence and severity of diarrhea. The highest concentration of Aquatize fed at 2,000 ppm for 5 to 8 days and then at 400 ppm from days 10 to 21 produced the lowest number of cases of diarrhea (reduced about 45%), highest weight gains (12% improvement), and best-feed conversions (about 12% improvement)."
